Wallin’s April Victories

Harold Wallin won two trials this month.  In one case, a client had been randomly stopped at a Chicago roadside safety check.  Chicago police officers suspected him of being intoxicated, and ordered the client to perform field sobriety tests, which they claimed he failed.  At trial, Mr. Wallin successfully argued that the prosecution had failed to meet its burden of proof, and the client was found not guilty.  In another case, a client was arrested by Markham police after they had received a tip about a possible drunk driver .  After the trial, the judge not only found the client not guilty of three counts of DUI, but he also dismissed three moving violations as well.  Mr. Wallin had previously won rescission of both of these client’s statutory summary suspensions on earlier court dates.  For a third client, Mr. Wallin won a preliminary hearing, which prevented the filing of felony charges of aggravated DUI against him.  Also, one of Mr. Wallin’s clients received an order from the Secretary of State approving him for a Restricted Driving Permit.
