Drivers should expect a larger-than-usual police presence during the Memorial Day weekend as local law enforcement agencies plan their annual crackdown.

Chicago Police Sgt. Scott Slavin said the department will have an increased focus at night, when there is more drunk driving and accidents. He did not have estimates for how many more officers will be on duty, but said it will be similar to previous Memorial Day weekends.
